Content is chunked and indexed synchronously — this call blocks until ingestion finishes, then registers the knowledge base immediately. There's no pending_approval step here: neither a file upload nor a connector read executes code or reaches a client's Foundry tenant, so the risk that motivates the agent approval step doesn't apply the same way to either.
Re-registering the same name creates a new version and supersedes the previous one as current.
